CAMPING IN BULGARIA
For all you European campers, Bulgaria is an undiscovered jewel in the European crown! Recently joined the EU and is rapidly coming up to EU standards in tourism. It has an abundance of beautiful landscapes i.e. lakes, mountains, beaches, including many man made beaches on lakes, cities full of culture and history, lovely restaurants, bars, night clubs, in fact anything you want for a good holiday! Camping and caravanning is still in the early stages of development, so sites are few and far between, yet there are enough to allow you to see many of the beautiful sights available in Bulgaria. Whether you want to hike and camp around the country, or find one area and spend your whole holiday there, you will find there is more than enough to see and do.
Our site, Kamenovo Camping, is situated in the village of Kamenovo which is at the bottom of a valley. Our site is on top of the valley looking over the village. It is very rural farming village as are most Bulgarian villages. It has a restaurant and bar with nice beer garden, 2 shops, a post office, the fabulous wreath rocks, many caves to explore.there is regular bus services into Razgrad and kubrat which are the closest large towns. You will find all the amenities you would expect of a city in Razgrad and kubrat including shopping centres, restaurants, bars, night clubs, swimming pool and much more. Razgrad also boasts one of the many man made beaches in Bulgaria!
The nearest town in Kubrat which is roughly 5 Kilometres away. There you can find restaurants, bars, supermarkets and a huge Sunday market. The nearest lake from the site is only 10 minutes walk, where you can fish, , swim, or just picnic on it's shore.
